Carol Shattuck is an experienced leader who possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in coaching, strategic planning, board development and collaboration development. She leads Shattuck Consulting, drawing from her 35 years of experience as an executive and consultant to nonprofit organizations in southeast Texas. She is a member of BoardSource, certified in Nonprofit Board Consulting and is certified as a Leadership and Life Coach through iPEC. Her passion for service drives her commitment to strengthening the nonprofit sector, especially in areas related to education, social services and civic engagement.
Prior to founding SC, Ms. Shattuck held the role of President and CEO of Collaborative for Children, a nonprofit organization that partners with parents, early education programs and the community to help young children reach their full potential. During her 20-year tenure, Shattuck led the organization through a successful merger, significant growth in programmatic reach and funds raised, as well as cultivating local, state and national partnerships.
Before her work with Collaborative for Children, Shattuck worked for United Way Greater Houston for 8 years, developing and leading what is now Nonprofit Connection, a coaching and training resource for leaders in the Houston nonprofit sector. Later in her UW tenure, she partnered with the UW President, supporting the strategic planning process and working with the UW Board of Directors on strategic issues and board development.
